– Episode 1692 –

Barbara Boxer on Abortion and Rubio vs. Cuomo

Segment 1 (0:00) – A post-presidential debate interview on CNN whereby Chris Cuomo (Interview) interviews Marco Rubio and calls him out that he is not as Pro-Life as he has a record of voting for a bill that bans abortions, except in the case of rape or incest.  Todd argues in this the correct approach a Christian should have, introducing this position as “incrementalism.”  Todd argues that incrementalism, though it doesn’t eradicate abortions, it does bring down the number of abortions.  He further argues that though we use this approach, in no way does it mean that we endorse any forms of abortion.

Segment 2 (9:16) – Use a Biblical paradigm when approaching the “Life” issue, not politics.  Continuing the Cuomo/Rubio interview.  Cuomo presses Rubio on why he wouldn’t agree with a “carve out” exception for allowing abortions for rape or incest.  Rubio argues that he believes, though rape or incest are tragedies, we can add another tragedy by ending a human life.   Todd comments that Rubio almost gets it perfect, but fails to call unborn what it is – a human being.

Segment 3 (18:31) – Todd opens up by playing a video of Senator Barbara Boxer on the Senate floor arguing that men should not be involved in discussing the abortion issue since they can’t get pregnant. Barbara further states that 97% of Planned Parenthood operations have nothing to do with abortion.  Todd pops in and states that actually 37% of Planned Parenthood’s operations consist of abortions.
