Segment 1 (00:22): How should we behave in the sanctuary? Are people becoming too casual? Sunday morning should be the highlight of the week. You are coming together to worship the creator. We should prepare our hearts before we enter the sanctuary.

Segment 2 (09:36): We tend to bounce from hyper formality to hyper-casual in certain theological areas, and sanctification is no exception. Progressive sanctification says that we work on sinning less and strive to be more like Christ. Positionally, those who are in Christ are already saints. We need to keep these two sides balanced. The thing to remember is that your working on your sin is not in any way enhancing God’s favor toward you. Remember you are adopted into God’s family. Work on your sins knowing that they already have been forgiven.

Segment 3 (17:39): Were the disciples baptized? We could assume so. However, certain details that are not in the Bible because we do not need them for life and godliness. Everything we need is in the Bible. The disciples were commanded to baptize new believers so we can be sure they would have followed this command themselves as well. As we settle in our faith we may feel less ecstatic than when we first got saved, but witnessing baptisms can be a way to be encouraged that people are still getting saved.

Wretched Surprise! (26:21): God is so giving and if we are lacking joy we should attempt to be giving like God is.
