Yes, you are a Pride Monster! | Wretched TV Episode 2879
Often times in the life of a Christian, God reveals to us how truly awful we are as sinners. But when we read Psalm 136, God reveals to us his loving-kindness, if we’ll only look full in Jesus’ wonderful face.
Todd challenges us to take the 37 question pride test, so graciously given by Brent Detwiler. As prideful as we are, and discover ourselves to be, we remember that Jesus yet died for us! When we are convicted of sin, and get saved, we must remember Jesus’ sacrifice dwell on that as it encourages us to sin less.
If we are willing to admit our Pride that Mr. Detwiler has so kindly called out, a great deal of joy awaits us! Though in this day and age, Christianity seems so mystic, when in reality it is simply cognitive. We forget the joy that God provides when we have and are continuously being transformed to Christ’s likeness.
If God tells us that we are his, shouldn’t that be enough? As we finish out the pride list from Brent Detwiler, we see how truly wretched we are, but are reminded that Yet. Jesus. Died. For. Us. Period. Though the weight of the law condemns, the Gospel is good news to the ear of that which receives it!
