Segment 1 (00:00) Todd highlights the massive difference between desire and temptation using the book of James. Todd explains that temptation is an external test while desire is internal. Our internal desires are sinful and must be wared against.

Segment 2 (08:50) Don’t give the Devil a foothold. You only have 2 options in dealing with external temptations. 1. Flee 2. Deal with your internal desires. However, you cannot fully run away from temptation because you still have your internal desires to deal with.

Segment 3 (16:23) It is important to work on your internal desires. External temptations by themselves are not a sin, but internal desires are innately sinful. You can start by remembering that you are a new creation in Christ and an adopted child of God. By remembering who you are in Christ you will become more and more like Jesus who always successfully resisted temptation.
