-Episode 2656-
There are many today that do not want to be uptight about doctrine and would rather just be peaceable. These people are jellyfish that do not stand up for the truth of doctrine, according to J. C. Ryle. To have unity in the truth, we need truth. Churches that are shrinking are filled with jellyfish.
Leaders in the church who are jellyfish have no true views or beliefs at all. They just go with whatever is popular. The loving thing to do when a Christian is being a jellyfish is to gently correct them, and to point them to the theology in the Bible. Jellyfish teaching will not endure or allow you to grow in your faith.
“Things people should never say that they never heard at your church” by Kevin DeYoung. Being a Christian is more than just being a good person, We must be born again. Christians suffer. If you are truly in Christ there will be persecution.
Wretched Surprise! More of Kevin DeYoung’s list.
