CONFLICTING SPOUSES

It’s Mailbag Friday! My spouse and I disagree on our daughter’s screen time. Help!

Wretched Radio | Air Date: October 6, 2023

It’s Mailbag Friday! You have questions. We have answers.

If you have any questions, comments, conundrums, snarks, or ideas send them to [email protected].

Segment 1

At my church we have only 1 teenage girl and 1 teenage boy. Since we don’t have any programs for youth, we don’t have a youth pastor. As a woman, would I be permitted to begin a class for these teenagers? Would it make any difference if it was a worldview class rather than a Bible study? -Marisa

Segment 2

As Christians, how can we find comfort when grieving the loss of a non-believing loved one? Also, how should we respond when non-Christians offer reassurance by saying the deceased is “in a better place” or “no longer suffering”? -Joel

My 2 year old daughter watches cartoons and kids’ shows on TV all day long from morning to night. I believe this is negatively affecting her behavior – making her hyper, aggressive, and keeping her up at night, disrupting our neighbors. My spouse disagrees and refuses to limit TV time. What advice can you offer for handling this disagreement and getting my daughter’s TV time under control? -Anonymous

Segment 3

Some Christians talk about being “raw” with God and express it through venting, complaining, even cursing at God. They say this shows authenticity and raw emotion toward our Creator. What is your view on believers being “raw” with God in this way? -Kyle

As a Christian man pursuing marriage, how long should I date a woman before considering engagement and marriage? What factors should guide that timeline and decision? -Evan

I attend a women’s Bible study group. A person I believe to be a man has also been attending. I’ve brought this to the leadership but they won’t address it since the person’s gender isn’t confirmed. Controversial or political topics are never discussed in this environment, so I’m wondering if I should keep attending to try to share truth or leave? -Anonymous

Segment 4

How should I leave my church?

Leaving your church is unacceptable?

I have a friend who attends a silly center but it isn’t heretical. Should I encourage him to leave?

You stand to do your radio show but sit while your wife shops?
