2.The pastor addressed the parents before he addressed the couple.
He had the parents take a vow to let their children go.
The dynamics of the parent/child relationship changes after marriage.

Remember Galatians where Paul wrote to the people as they were “biting and devouring one another?”
The early church almost immediately violated the peace and union originally established.
In the heat of disagreement, sometimes our desire is to be right rather than kind.
