Does the government have the authority to enforce the law of God?
Wretched Radio | Air Date: December 15, 2022
God’s laws are found on two tablets.
The first tablet is vertical – towards God, and the second is horizontal – toward others.
The debate about the government authority to enforce one or two tablets in the law has been rekindled.
The magisterial reformers, centuries ago, made their case that the government’s duty is to enforce both tablets of God’s law.
Does that mean the government enforces how everyone thinks about God?
The church is the enforcer of these things for believers, rather than the government enforcing these on pagans.
